TOGA WIN FALL 2009 TOKYO CITY CHAMPIONSHIP
Toga became only the second team in the history of TBHL to win a city championship. With some key additions from the dismantled Spring 2009 Red Bulls, TOGA capped their impressive season with a championship and three individual award winners. Colin Kozik won the scoring title, Darryl Antoniuk won the rookie of the year and Dennis Ota with a the most valuable player.
KOREA KOMRADES WIN GOLDEN GODZILLA AT YAMATO CUP
In the second annual Yamato Cup tournament held in Tokyo in October 2009, Korea Komrades defended their championship trophy in a hard fought effort. The quality of play at this years tournament was superb and games between the top teams were really close. All the games between the top 3 teams in the tournament ended in one goal differentials or ties during round robin play and playoffs. Korea held off a talented MHL Tigers team 1-0 in the finals to capture their second championship. The Thai Red Bulls settled for a third place finish.
